Take a well known and well loved Chinese folk tale.  Stir together with a highly talented cast; then fill the whole thing with a host of lively, memorable tunes, slapstick comedy, and just a dash of tension and suspense. What do you get? A Musical, Magical journey for all ages!

This fun, interactive play is suitable for the whole family. Marvellous puppets and lively action will enthral the youngest audience members, whilst fun songs and a witty script will entrance grownups and older children.

Tony Lee, a young student from present day Singapore meets a Magical Paintbrush. With an accidental wish, Tony is transported to a Southern Province of China where, in a series of magical adventures, the story of Ma Liang and his magical paintbrush is recounted.

Meet the tuneful Phoenix who guides and helps Liang with his quest, the comical Flower Rangers, the confused and very blur Chicken. And watch out for the cruel Emperor and his guards. Everyone is taught valuable lessons about friendship, the dangers of using, or abusing power, and the value of creativity in this magical musical show.
