Shiro is a little white dog. A dog who is very fond of his owner.
One day he sees Miss Sakura, his owner, again struggling to make ends meet, Shiro decides to repay her kindness to him — and presents her with a wonderful gift.
However the noisy, nosy, nasty next door sour plum of a neighbour, Umeko, finds out and decides she must have the same, and more. So she persuades Sakura to loan her the dog and tries to force little Shiro to give her a reward too.
Will the neighbour’s greed and cruelty be rewarded or punished?
And what will happen to Little Shiro?
A wonderful Japanese Folk Tale transformed with I Theatre’s special touch to create a truly magical story of friendship, generosity, selfishness — showing us that true generosity will always be rewarded, but selfishness and greed will lead to nothing but grief.
Little Shiro is an example to us all!
