Since the first in 1984, the Festival Fringe has grown and has found its natural size. The Fringe, as the outreach arm of the Festival of Arts, has over 300 events including exhibitions, performances, installations and demonstrations. The Fringe is frenetic, fun, fantastic, Fortful... and fabulous!

The Festival Fringe lifts off on June 2 from Fort Canning in a burst of colour and a celebration of sound. There are drums from South Africa, Malaysia and Singapore working with dancers, giant puppets, gymnasts, spectacular sets and dazzling costumes. This collaboration of international talent is the first of its kind.

Throughout the month of June, the Fringe spreads itself to all comers of Singapore : from Changi to Bukit Batok, Yishun to Orchard Road. If you think you are going to miss the Fringe because you lived too far away... Think again! The Fringe catches you in the most unexpected places; disguised as a road-show or wandering minstrels, the Fringe finds its way to where the people are!

There are performances during lunch and after work; and All Night Films to goggle the eyes on Saturday night (then you get a hot breakfast early Sunday morning). Weekends are loaded with activity; what with workshops, outdoor performances, The Street Theatre Carnival, the Curse of the Witch Queen, concerts in the park... And they are all free with the exception of 2 events!

So come along, join the fun, make a costume to wear on special days, learn a funny dance and sing some songs.

HAVE A GREAT TIME!
