Greed, avarice and nastiness is portrayed comically in the guise of love and caring. The tragedy is not that the old lady is dying but that nobody is interested in the life she has led. Death may be the main tragedy in life but the process of life could be more unbearable. The tragicomedy won a merit prize in the 1989 NUS/Shell's Short Play Competition.
