Full Frontal invites young theatre creatives to explore and confront new dimensions in their practice through theatre directing. Flexing their directorial muscle by revisiting known texts from Singapore's theatre and literary canon and breathing fresh perspectives into them, Full Frontal aims to help nurture Singapore’s next generation of directors and at the same time deepen appreciation of Singapore's literature.
With dramaturgical support from Robin Loon and Kok Heng Leun, Li Xie and Peter Sau take up the challenge in their directorial debut at the Festival.
A pioneer graduate of Kuo Pao Kun's Theatre Training and Research Programme, Peter Sau is a prolific actor who works with Singapore's leading English, Mandarin and Malay theatre companies. Peter's first foray into directing relooks Tan Tarn How’s Machine and explores what happens when two repairmen tum up at the home of two listless sisters.
