A warm welcome to our annual national celebration of the arts!
This year marks the 20" edition of the Singapore Arts Festival.
Indeed, we are grateful for your support. Over the years, the Festival has grown from strength to strength. As a pioneer of innovative arts programming in Singapore, it has paved the way for the myriad of new arts activities and platforms today. The Festival has also become an important global player, engaging in dialogues and collaborations with other renowned Festivals around the world.
This international growth notwithstanding, it is first and foremost a Singapore festival. A staple in Singapore's arts calendar, it is eagerly anticipated by many residents. Yet even as we at the Council look to its future, I trust that its success at home will continue to thrive, and many more Singaporeans who have not yet enjoyed the Festival will come to know it better.
This year, we present a diverse range of works under the Festival's tagline “One Season. Many Faces.”. The performances range from the mainstream and classical, to the progressive and experimental. Six world premieres, six Asian premieres and over 300 performances from Singapore, Asia and the world. Be entertained, challenged and inspired!
