Welcome to the Singapore Arts Festival 2002.
The Festival has flourished – not only is it an important fixture in the Singapore arts calendar but also one of Asia's leading festivals and enjoying international attention.
As with the other recent festivals, Singapore Arts Festival 2002 continues to showcase a mix of classical and contemporary work, and retains an international outlook with a distinct Asian emphasis.
The core programme alone features 75 performances from 16 countries and 32 arts groups. Some are world premieres, others are commissioned works or works conceived through international collaborations. More performances can be found in free events such as Arts on the Move, Weekend Highlights and the Closing Celebrations.
