Tracing the life story of Madam Oon Ah Chiam, Titoudao portrays the struggles of this petite lady with big dreams, fighting against despairing personal states of poverty, gender inequality and shadowed marital vexations. Above all, invisible shackles from the diminishing state of her craft will confront all the strength and zeal that culminate in this inspirational tale of the person behind her most iconic character.

The stage shifts between Mdm Oon's painful backstory and her mesmerizing wayang performances at Titoudao. Against her vibrant comic male facade, the impassioned rendering of the actress' ordeals highlight the unspoken currents beneath a time of rapid change and progression. Between the present theatrical form and traditional wayang stage, the play sparkles with a mark of resilience as it presents the beauty of drams and tradition.

Along the top is the word 'titoudao' in black calligraphic script.
