Today we present to you 4 new original plays by graduates from Teater Ekamatra's pioneer batch of MEREKA youths. These works were created over workshop sessions held over a three month period. In the tradition of art inspiring art, a key source of inspiration was the Dreams and Realities exhibition of major Impressionist and Expressionist work at NaMOS. It is essential for the theatre community to invest in the future. These four talented individuals are testament to Teater Ekamatra's belief that socially conscious, well-crafted theatre is the cornerstone to a vibrant Singapore theatre scene. This show is only the first part of the yearlong Playwright Mentorship Programme. We hope you enjoy their performances.
