It's not easy being a guardian angel. Young Gabriel has to keep warm, and practice flying, and his harp, and most importantly he must learn to look after people.
Now Gabriel has his first task, he must help poor baby Violet. But this means a journey through a star spangled universe, over mountains and through forests to a faraway snowy land where wolves and bears roam.
But what exactly IS a baby? And who are the unhappy old couple who must learn to love her?
And why can only little people see angels???
This is the marvellous magical story of an apprentice guardian angel - young Gabriel, who finds his new job very tough. It's also the story of a little girl, Violet, who magically grows from age 6 months old to 6 years old on stage, using marvellous puppetry techniques.
