In war, there are no winners. One is either killed as an innocent bystander caught in a cross fire, loses a loved one, or becomes morally scarred as a consequence of our aggressive actions.

War makes a victim out of everyone, even those who start the conflict.

This play celebrates and honours the men and women who stood up for their beliefs despite the difficult and trying times. Unlikely heroes emerge out of extraordinary circumstances. The pages of history are dotted with stories of these brave souls. I hope the play you watch today will transport you back in time and show you a snippet in the lives of these unlikely heroes.

– Chong Tze Chien (Director's Message)
