Body Text

A collective creation inspired by “Simplicity” - a poem of Argentine poet, essayist and short-story writer Jorge Luis Borges (1899 –1986).

Director Guillermo Angelelli, who draws from Eugenio Barba's principles of theatre anthropology, guides actor-students from Intercultural Theatre Institute into creating their own original material from the writings and creative works of Borges and other artists.

With text, dance, music, and the clown as metaphor for the artist, Simplicity conjures up worlds adapted, disassembled and rebuilt into a new one.
