Once upon a time, a farmer had the misfortune of owing huge sums of money to a moneylender. The Moneylender, who fancied the farmer's beautiful Daughter, proposed a bargain: he would forgo the farmer's debt if he could marry his Daughter. Pretending to let fate decide on the matter with the intent of tricking the two, the Moneylender challenged the girl in one impossible task after another. The girl however emerged from these challenges unscathed with the use of her wit and quick thinking...
Using a myriad of devices such as masks, puppetry and actors, Brainstorm! is a tale of how a clever girl uses lateral thinking to solve the seemingly impossible problems she encounters - one that will highlight the importance of developing creative thinking and perseverance - both of which are essential life skills for all students.
In this production, students will also be introduced to different kinds of puppets used and different manipulation styles, listen to a brief history of the art of puppetry in this fun-filled, interactive segment.
