The storm approaches now,
And I,
I will deliver them.
Not the living nor the dead for they have lived,
And wrought no dreams.
I will deliver them.
The Children.
I will deliver them from this kingdom till the next.
From this less than perfect design.
I will deliver the Children to the edge of their dreams.
And I will drive the monsters back to the underground.
I will send them back to a place where no one can see them.
And there I will keep my vigil.
Uncle is admittedly a twisted fantasy of mine. I had toyed with the idea while reading news reports of rapists, molesters and human/animal abusers who failed to be rehabilitated by the system and return to their recalcitrant and deviant ways by habit. While I'm ironically a staunch supporter and believer of the Yellow Ribbon Project, I do believe in the maxim 'once bitten, twice shy'.
So I thought about it, what if we had a system of instant justice? Where nothing is grey and everything is as black and white as day and night. Can a person still do a 'good' deed even though it means having to kill? Or does the quote 'evil triumphs when good men do nothing at all' still apply?
We are all the same people, with sinning hearts that makes us equal.
