Madu II touches on the issue of polygamy in a modern Malay household. The play excavates the struggle of 2 women who not only share a husband, but also live under one roof. While their husband is away, both women exchange remarks and curses; and find themselves lost in a game where the instructions need a complete revision.
Madu II is a well-crafted light-hearted yet poignant look at the sensitive and difficult issue of polygamy in modern Malay marriage.
