Based on a book of poems by Roger Jenkins, Voices of the Singapore River is performed in English and local Chinese dialects. The play is part of the Kampong Glam PAssionArts Festival Celebration, and aims to introduce theatre to heartlanders, especially the seniors, and inspire them to be involved in the arts. Voices of the Singapore River will reach young and old audiences with an interest in history and nostalgia. It aims to start many conversations between people of all ages not only about Singapore's past, but about what seniors are still capable of doing.
