A series of chance encounters led Dylia into the world of theatre-making in her first year as an undergraduate. Since then, she has fumbled her way through courses on playwriting, theatre criticism, and cultural studies. As you might have gathered, acting is not her forte and she is still learning to love being put on stage. Now a History and Theatre Studies student at NUS, she is attempting to marry her two disciplines by delving into research on the histories of local theatre and its people. When life gets a little too befuddling, her preferred escape is to while away the days on a kayak or leap into the ocean in a full armour of scuba gear.
