Iwani Mawocha is a performer and writer who grew up on stage. She trained in ballet before pursuing jazz dance, Argentine tango and contemporary, and is an autodidact, speaking six languages and teaching herself to play guitar and mbira. In 2012, she broke from nearly a decade of classical piano training to compose a 54-page Afro-Baroque piece that was performed by a youth orchestra in the USA. She is the co-founder of Mustard Seed Africa, is an award-winning videographer and digital designer, and runs a successful blog and YouTube channel. She graduates from Yale-NUS College in May and will pursue an MA in Acting.
