Guests at Charley Brook's anniversary party are dismayed to find their host bleeding - but still alive - from a gunshot wound. Desperate to avoid a scandal, they scramble to conceal from each other - and the police! - what has happened. The resultant web of lies threatens to grow out of control, and in the process all their secrets are spilled. This sparkling farce is another fine comedic masterpiece from Neil Simon, about whom Time magazine said, "If Broadway ever erects a monument to the patron saint of laughter, Neil Simon would have to be it."
