The year 2010 will be a turning point for the arts scene in Singapore.

For the first time ever, the Singapore Arts Festival will organise a series of outreach activities where audiences can learn more about the Festival in an intimate way.

Called com.mune, the programme revolves around the theme of conversing or talking closely together, with the aim of encouraging active dialogue and cross exchange of ideas.

Inspired by actual Festival events, com.mune consists of specially tailored activities before, during and after the Festival. The various workshops, talks and other interesting events will give you a world of opportunities to discover more about the arts, as well as present avenues for you to express your thoughts and feelings.

The Singapore Arts Festival 2010 will mark the transition of the arts from a passive, ‘one-way’ stage to a multi-faceted platform of infinite possibilities and interaction. It will actively reach out to children, teens, working adults and senior citizens, touching them in ways they never imagined possible.

com.mune aims to provide:

Access
Learn more about the Festival's themes, forms and content. “I don't understand!” will be a thing of the past.

Engagement
A fun, creative and interactive platform to engage with the artists and their works.

Connection
Understand how the Festival, audience, partners, community and sponsors connect and thrive together.

The arts is now truly between you and me.

Come and com.mune with us.
