Exotic. Asian women everywhere have that reputation. From Bangkok to the Philippines, from China to Singapore, they prove an irresistible draw. But very often, they also come with a price.

Mail Order Brides and Other Oriental Take-Aways is a light-hearted but unflinching look at just what price that is. And whether its just the men who pay through their noses.

From Patpong to Brannigans to Asian Lady International in Cyberspace, just what drives these women to risk the unknown and have themselves packaged as one of the most exotic exports from the East?

Are mail-order brides a Twentieth-century take on Eastern style match-making? Do prostitutes, mail-order brides and SPGs have anything to nothing at all in common? Can love really be found when men from the first world place orders to women from the third?
