Body Text
An old woman lies on her deathbed about to draw her last breath. In that split second, images from the past converge in visions of childhood dreams and fears, remembrance of people, her search for knowledge. Is this just a dream? Who is the dreamer?
Fragmented and dreamlike, this narrative draws its power from ancient Chinese texts by philosophers such as Zhuang Tzu and Lao Tzu, traditional Chinese songs in dialect, and individual and collective actions and recollections based on personal memories and associations.
