M1 Youth Connection, presented annually by The Necessary Stage, is the only festival of theatre and other arts that focuses on young people, aged mainly between 13 - 25, as audience, participants and creators in Singapore. We believe that a festival of exciting and interactive theatre for young people is important in building an appreciation of the arts amongst the young. This is also a rare opportunity for artistic work by the young to be presented to their peers from other schools and the general public. Last but not least, this festival aims to create an awareness of issues relevant and important to young people.
