Go back to basics: Four black walls, a simple stage, some actors, and the audience. A black box theatre focuses on the intricate relationship between man and space, and bridges the distance between the audience, the actors, and the story. It releases our boundless imagination from within the intimacy of the black box theatre.

Organised by The Theatre Practice, the first Chinese Theatre Festival leaps forth this August, showcasing a slew of Chinese language theatre productions from Singapore and the Asian region. Local audience can look forward to performances of different genres, skills and techniques. This multicultural festival plays host to some of the best Chinese productions from Singapore, Hong Kong and Taiwan, offering a fine opportunity to unveil the beauty of Chinese Theatre...
