The play Salah Sangka (Misunderstood) is a sensitive family satire on status and marriage written by Henry Tan.
Bibik Trubok, a rich widow who lives with her eldest daughter and son-in-law, keeps mum about the cohabitation between her youngest daughter and her boyfriend. However, the dating issue becomes heated when her only grand-daughter starts falling for a son of the widow’s ex-servant. Her plans to frustrate the budding love meet with unpredictable consequences.
