A kampong boy and a city girl met at the teacher's training college. They fell in love and want to get married.
The kampong mother has reservations in the girl's feelings for their kampong while the city mother is violently against her daughter choosing a kampong husband.
But the old servant couple at the girl's house is sympathetic. They help by posing as her parents and accepts the marriage approach from the boy's uncle and auntie. When the girl's parents discover the plot, they dashed to the kampong to straighten things out. The two full families eventually come face to face with all their passions and tempers.
